Be Joyful

Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in EVERYTHING by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the PEACE OF GOD, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:4-7

These are verses I memorized years ago and they are written on my heart. There are times when I still need to remember not to be anxious, but I eventually listen to my heart saying these verses. I didn't really understand what the "peace of God" was until I experienced it. It's having peace inside you, even when you're going through heartbreaking situations and trials. It does "surpass ALL understanding" and you know it comes from GOD alone. Praise the Lord for His wonderful promises!

I love, love, love what I do. I am passionate about the things I create and the talents God has placed in me. I SO appreciate the time you take to look at my things and the comments you all leave me!

Blessings to you!

Bathtub Riley Moose in Pinks

Hi there!

I made this card for 2 challenges on Split Coast Stampers. The first, is for a color combination of light pink, medium pink, and dark pink (#CC326). The second, to use a stamp that "you had to have", but never used (F4A68).

This is a stamp called "Bathtub Riley Moose" from Hanna Stamps that I just had to have, but never used the poor little thing. It's so cute too! I WAS surprised at how few stamps I had that hadn't been used yet...from my older ones anyway.

For colors, I used pink pirouette for light pink from Stampin Up, Chablis from Bazzills for medium, and Melon Mambo (SU) for dark pink. The other papers used were Whisper White and Black from SU and Solar White from Neenah. Ink used was Versafine in Black which is a new ink I bought and I really like the image quality it gives, the quick drying time and easy cleanup. It's my new favorite ink now!

I colored the image using my Prismacolors pencils and mineral spirits and Diamond Stickles. I used Spellbinders dies in circles and scallops which I have barely used. With the round shaped image, I decided to make a card in a square shape of 5" x 5" which is different for me.

Thanks for looking!

Blessing!

Kathy
