Be Joyful

Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in EVERYTHING by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the PEACE OF GOD, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:4-7

These are verses I memorized years ago and they are written on my heart. There are times when I still need to remember not to be anxious, but I eventually listen to my heart saying these verses. I didn't really understand what the "peace of God" was until I experienced it. It's having peace inside you, even when you're going through heartbreaking situations and trials. It does "surpass ALL understanding" and you know it comes from GOD alone. Praise the Lord for His wonderful promises!

I love, love, love what I do. I am passionate about the things I create and the talents God has placed in me. I SO appreciate the time you take to look at my things and the comments you all leave me!

Blessings to you!

Kathy

Butterfly Medley Thank You

Happy Wednesday!

It's time for a little inspiration from Heartfelt Creations!  This week I have a cream on cream card for you with a little bit of aqua!

The flower and butterflies are from the new Butterfly Medley Collection. The were stamped with VersaMark Ink on cream card stock and heat embossed with Aged Ivory Embossing Enamel. I lightly colored them with chalk inks using makeup applicators to give them a soft look. Here's a closeup of the flower and small butterfly.

The sentiment is from the Summer Glory Set that is heat embossed with Brown Sugar Embossing Powder and trimmed into a "flag" shape. You can find complete instructions for this at the bottom of my post.

Be sure to visit the HC Blog to see all the beautiful creations by the designers. Emma Lou has a new video tutorial showing you a couple of fun techniques with the Butterfly Medley Collection. There is also a sneak peek of the Peacock Paisley Collection being released in March.

Botanical Rose Bouquet - Heartfelt Creations

Happy Wednesday!

The new Butterfly Medley Collection from Heartfelt Creations is now available!

Are you longing for springtime...dreaming of sunny hours spent in a lavish flower garden where butterflies flit lazily from blossom to blossom? Heartfelt Creations invites you to revel in the beauty of springtime with the release of the Butterfly Medley Collection of stamps, dies, and papers. This uplifting collection is bursting with bountiful botanical roses and a kaleidoscope of fanciful butterflies. Soft shades of pastel peach, lilac, sage, lemon, teal and pink are the perfect counterpoint for the bleak, grey days of mid-winter. Beautifully landscaped backgrounds include pastel plaids, cheery polka-dots, flowing script, classic stripes, elegant flourishes, seed packets, garden themed sentiments and images. Six hand drawn stamp sets featuring botanical roses and butterflies can be paired with two sets of dies, allowing you to stamp and die cut a host of embellishments with a single pass through your die cutting machine. You'll dream in beauty, plant seeds of encouragement and reap a harvest of creativity when you design with the Butterfly Medley Collection from Heartfelt Creations.

What a beautiful collection of butterflies and flowers to play with in this collection!  I love these stamps and matching dies that have multiple pieces to them!  Makes things go so much faster when creating!

For my card this week I used the Botanical Rose Bouquet Set for the main image.  I added additional flowers and leaves from the Botanical Rose Set and a butterfly from the Butterfly Medley Set.  The images were colored with pencils and mineral spirits, although I never did get the color intensity I wanted.  It's a little more muted than I wanted, oh well!  I did just purchase some Polychromos Pencils, so I'm hoping to improve my coloring a little once I learn how to use them!

Be sure to visit the HC Blog to see all the beautiful projects the designers have for you this week!  So many talented ladies on the design team!

Coral Aster With Love - Heartfelt Creations

Happy Wednesday!

It's time for a little inspiration with Heartfelt Creations!  This week I used an oldie, but goodie set for you from the Delicate Asters Collection!

The flower and leaves are from the Bold Delicate Asters Set. I stamped them with ink and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder...no coloring! You can also "stamp off" the color first on scrap paper to get a lighter color which looks really pretty and do a combination of both.

The lattice piece behind the oval frame is from the Raindrops on Roses Die. The tag is from the new Birds and Blooms Paper Collection cut out with the Luggage and Tag Die.

Be sure to visit the HC Blog to see the beautiful creations by the designers this week! There is also another sneak peek of the Butterfly Melody Collection being released next week!
