Be Joyful

Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in EVERYTHING by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the PEACE OF GOD, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:4-7

These are verses I memorized years ago and they are written on my heart. There are times when I still need to remember not to be anxious, but I eventually listen to my heart saying these verses. I didn't really understand what the "peace of God" was until I experienced it. It's having peace inside you, even when you're going through heartbreaking situations and trials. It does "surpass ALL understanding" and you know it comes from GOD alone. Praise the Lord for His wonderful promises!

I love, love, love what I do. I am passionate about the things I create and the talents God has placed in me. I SO appreciate the time you take to look at my things and the comments you all leave me!

Blessings to you!

Deer Special Moments

Happy Wednesday!

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and wonderful time with friends and family! We spent it with our neighbors who have become like family :)

I have another card for you this week using the Woodsy Wonderland Collection! So much fun creating these cute forest scenes!

I used the Woodsy Critters and Woodsy Treescape Sets and matching dies for my scene. The deer and grass are all one piece and the trees were cut apart from a tree border piece.

All the images were colored with pencils and mineral spirits. The background for the scene and the outside panel are from the designer papers and are placed on a green card base and brown mat.

Be sure to visit the Heartfelt Creations' Blog to see the wonderful inspiration from the designers this week!

I'm submitting this to the following challenge:

Woodsy Wonderland Side Step Card

Happy Wednesday!

It's time for the new release from Heartfelt Creations, the Woodsy Wonderland Collection! Love this collection, it's perfect for guy cards! Here is a little write up about it.

Heartfelt Creations invites you to lose yourself in an enchanting woodsy wonderland filled with magnificent wildlife, beautiful scenic expanses and delicate field flowers. A stunning paper collection showcasing a beautiful outdoor themed color palette of rushing river blues, orange and yellow sunset hues, grass like greens accented with the softest wildflower whites, deep purples, and posy pinks, pulled together and grounded with dark tree bark browns, sky blues and moss like greens.

For my first card with this collection I decided to create a forest scene using a side step card for the base. These scenes are so much fun to create!

The back fold has the 3-trees, the second has 2 of the foxes facing each other and the rest is all on the front of the base. All the images were colored with pencils and mineral spirits and cut with their matching dies. I like the way everything look on the black base, really makes it all pop!

Be sure to visit the Heartfelt Creations Blog to see all the awesome projects by the designers this week!  Emma Lou also has a new video on the blog showing you how to create a nature scene using a foldout card!

Golden Bath Time

Happy Wednesday!

Today I have another card using the Pampered Pooch Collection from Heartfelt Creations. This week with an adorable golden retriever having a bath! I love these golden images, especially where I have a golden retriever myself :) Here is my card!

Aren't they cute? As soon as I saw this collection, I couldn't wait to color this little guys!

The "frame" I created for the image is made with one of the card panels from the designer papers that I matted with green and added to a brown card base. The images were all colored with pencils and mineral spirits using paper stumps...my favorite way to color! The 2 little goldens were die cut with a matching die. The Best Wishes tag was die cut from the designer papers.

In case you're interested...here is my golden retriever, Bailey! The sweetest boy ever!

This picture was taken in my craft room by my desk...he's waiting for me to move the cords so he can lay down. Such a sweet face :)

It's time for the new Blushing Rose Collection release from Heartfelt Creations! Here is a little more about the collection.

Soft in hues and striking in patterns, this newest rose themed release will have you reminiscing of old fine bone china, lace tablecloths, and elegantly wallpapered sitting rooms. Delicate images of swirling roses, fluttering butterflies and vintage scripted postcards nestled among old fashioned wallpaper like stripes, beautiful brocades and decorative lace accents have been gently set against calming tones of pale yellows, mixed blends of greenish blues, and soft lilacs. Lovely rose clustered embellishments featuring open blossoms, delicate rose buds and swirling foliage, along with a charming banner are handsome embellishments ideal for bringing a touch of old world charm to all of your paper crafting creations. Stunningly shaped roses in vintage yellow hues, paired with charming shades of muted blues bring greetings of Friendship, Thanks, Get Well Wishes and Thoughts of Encouragement. Simply add a touch of flower shaping, a kiss of ink, along with a sprinkling of glitter and your creations are ready to be assembled and gifted!

For my card this week I used the Blushing Rose Swirls Set for this beautiful flower image and the matching Blushing Rose Swirls Die. The image was colored with pencils and mineral spirits and popped onto a partial embossed white mat. The sentiment, stamped below the embossed area, is from the Encouraging You Set.

Violet Friendship Rose

Happy Wednesday!

I'm back with another card using the Classic Rose Collection from Heartfelt Creations! This is a fairly simple one using one of the card fronts from the Classic Rose Paper Collection, a pretty friendship sentiment stamped directly on it and an added flower to match.

Here's a little close up of the flower.

For the flower I used the Classic Rose Cling and matching Classic Rose Die. They were colored with pencils and mineral spirits using paper stumps and shaped using the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit. Emma Lou has a great video tutorial on how to shape roses using this collection you can find here.

Pink Classic Rose Thank You

Happy Wednesday!

It's that time of the month for Heartfelt Creations' new collection to be released! This month we have the Classic Rose Collection! I LOVE roses, so this one is one of my favorites to date!

Beautiful in color, exquisite in fragrance, and ever so dignified, the rose is one of the most coveted flowers found in chic bouquets, or carefully tended flower gardens.  Breathtaking in bud form, as a blossom gently opening, or in full bloom, it is a flower that calls attention to itself and beckons you to pause and quietly reflect upon its elegance.  Heartfelt Creations invites you to stop, fall quiet and immerse yourself in the breathtaking beauty of the new Classic Rose Collection!  Filled with delicate illustrations of roses ranging from buds, to full blossoms, rose wreaths and flower filled vines, the three cling stamp sets and coordinating dies included in this assembling will have you building gorgeous rose gardens filled with varying sizes of dimensional flowers as realistic as those found in nature themselves.  The captivating decorative paper collection will whisk you away to perfectly manicured rose filled grounds, serene meadows where brooks babble and wild roses hold their heads high, and alluring views from charming old world buildings clad in weathered brick and vining florals.  The handsome color palette of regal purples, deep brick like reds, rich corals and leafy greens filled with delicate swirls, stunning brickwork and floral patterns, along with tender handwritten script are among just a few of the magnificent elements found within this graceful paper assembling. So join us as we slow down, enjoy the view and take some time to linger and smell the roses.

Here is my first creation with this beautiful collection!

I used the Classic Rose Cling and Classic Vines Cling Sets for the flowers and leaves creating various size flowers. These were done using Aged Ivory Embossing Enamel on Natural White cardstock and coloring with chalk inks and make-up applicators. The Eyelet Oval Die was used for the scalloped edge oval and the solid center oval. I heat embossed the sentiment on the solid oval using Gold Embossing Powder and edged the oval with a Gold Leafing Pen. The background mat behind the oval is from the Classic Rose Paper Collection.

Be sure to visit the Heartfelt Creations Blog to see all the beautiful creations by the designers this week using this gorgeous collection!

Snowman Waving Hello

Happy Wednesday!

This week I have another Christmas/Winter card for you using the Snow Kissed Collection from Heartfelt Creations! This time I'm using the other snowman image from the Frolicking Frosty Set. Last week I used the skating snowman, this week I'm using the waving snowman.

This little guy is so cute! I colored him and the ornaments with pencils and mineral spirits. The image was stamped twice so I could add a second snowman over the image to "pop" it over the first. There is a matching die for the snowman.

The snowflakes were stamped with Nautical Blue Ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I also added a little color to some areas of the snowflakes using a Dove Blender Pen and the blue ink. These all have matching dies so you can easily cut them out and add to your card. I used foam tape to add them giving them a little depth.

Be sure to visit the Heartfelt Creations Blog to what the talented ladies have come up with for you!

Here is the card I made for Emma Lou's Birthday!

I used one of the older stamp sets, Sunflower Bouquet Stamp, from the Classic Sunflower Collection. I love this bucket of sunflowers and the gold and burgundy together! Great card for Autumn that will soon be upon us.

The image was colored with pencils and mineral spirits using paper stumps and I added Heart of Gold Prills to the flower centers. I also decorated the inside of the card, but neglected to take a picture before I mailed it to Emma Lou. Complete instructions for this are at the end of my post if you are interested.
