Be Joyful

Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in EVERYTHING by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the PEACE OF GOD, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:4-7

These are verses I memorized years ago and they are written on my heart. There are times when I still need to remember not to be anxious, but I eventually listen to my heart saying these verses. I didn't really understand what the "peace of God" was until I experienced it. It's having peace inside you, even when you're going through heartbreaking situations and trials. It does "surpass ALL understanding" and you know it comes from GOD alone. Praise the Lord for His wonderful promises!

I love, love, love what I do. I am passionate about the things I create and the talents God has placed in me. I SO appreciate the time you take to look at my things and the comments you all leave me!

Blessings to you!

Kathy

Leaping Frogs

Happy Wednesday!

It's time for a little inspiration with Heartfelt Creations! Today I have another cute card using Heartfelt Creations' Winking Frog Collection of stamps, dies and designer papers.

This was a super easy card to put together once the coloring of the frogs was done. I stamped the frogs on white cardstock, colored them with pencils and mineral spirits and cut them with the matching die. I then stamped the sentiment on white cardstock, popped the frogs on the bottom and added it to a card base matted with one of the card panels from the designer papers. So easy to put together!

Be sure to visit the Heartfelt Creations Blog to see all the beautiful projects by the designers this week! Emma Lou also has a new video tutorial for you on how to make paper floral corsages.

I'm submitting this to the following challenge:

Leaping Frog Hanging

Happy Wednesday!

I have another Winking Frog Collection project for you today! This week I have this cute frog hanging onto a lily pad like an umbrella. This would be a perfect card to send someone to cheer them up!

The frog image is from the Froggy Hangout set that I colored with pencils and mineral spirits and used the matching die to cut it out. I then stamped the image and sentiment together on white cardstock, colored the raindrops and popped the first image over the uncolored one. The "frame" was made using one of the card panels from the designer papers that I cut the center from with Cut Mat Create 1A Die.

Be sure to visit the Heartfelt Creations Blog to see all the cute and springy cards the designers have for you!

Flirting Frogs

Happy Wednesday!

It's the second Wednesday of the month which means it's time for the new release from Heartfelt Creations! This month we have the Winking Frog Collection of stamps, dies and designer papers!

Don your rubber boots, grab your field glasses and come along as we set out to explore picturesque marshes filled with dazzling water florals, glistening dragonflies, miniature forests of cattails and flourishing crops of toadstools! Walk softly and be aware of your surroundings at all times as the delightful gems we seek are not always easily seen and blend in with their surroundings perfectly. Pause and listen carefully as the only clues we have to follow, leading us to our destination are the soft and throaty croaks filling the cool evening air. Follow the quick flickering of the lightning bugs as dusk begins to fall, being careful to not be seen in their shadows. Now...grab your field glasses...we've discovered the habitat we've been so curious about! Through your field glasses you see them...you have a front row seat to witness their fun and frolic, entertaining antics and flirtatious ways, and can only hope to eventually be invited in to make their acquaintances and join in the laughter and merriment! Come along side Heartfelt Creations as we discover and reveal the amusing and spirited "Winking Frog" Collection. Vintage inspired illustrations will bring back memories of classic childhood story books, quick witted sentiments will add a touch of fun, and the serene and calming color palette of the collection is sure to speak to the heart of everyone who ventures here. The invitation has been sent to join in on the high jinks, so now it's your turn to dive in...try your hand at creating beautiful water florals, hop from lily pad to lily pad on handsome decorative paper, play hide and seek with glorious die cuts and with the little polliwogs among the weeds and cattails....now aren't you glad you listened and wore your rubber boots!

This week I have a fairly clean and simple card to show you.

I used the Flirting Frogs Cling Set for the image and stamped an extra image for the frogs only to be "popped" on top of the first image. These were colored with pencils and mineral spirits using paper stumps. I matted this with Real Red cardstock and popped it on a piece of green designer paper from the collection. I then popped this on to a white card base.

The tag is from the designer papers and cut with a matching die from the Luggage & Tags Die.

Be sure to visit the Heartfelt Creations Blog to see all the beautiful creations by the designers this week! Emma Lou also has a video for you showing you how to make the water lilies with the collection.
